We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Ruby on Rails to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs while adhering to best practices in software development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability of applications.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
  • Contribute to the design of database schemas and optimize queries for performance using SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Experience

  • Proven experience in web development with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Angular.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar databases.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) practices and methodologies including Agile.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • Strong debugging skills and experience in multithreading environments.
