Position Overview
Riverside Research Institute is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
temporary
Purchasing Specialist to join our Procurement Team in Fairfax, VA and Beavercreek, OH. This is a 3-month assignment. This individual will help manage the full procurement lifecycle for materials, components and services in support of the entire organization for both Direct and Indirect type orders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cradle-to-grave subcontract and procurement processes in full compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and company policies.
• Preparing RFP's/RFQ's and negotiating terms and conditions.
• Evaluating subcontractors/vendors according to key business criteria.
• Preparing agreements and agreement modifications/change orders
• Support proposal and pricing activities by issuing RFP's/RFQ's, assisting with subcontracting plans and contributing to cost analysis.
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready subcontract and procurement documentation, including CPSR reviews.
• Partner with internal teams to align subcontract and procurement efforts with project goals.
• Deliver quality customer service to both internal and external customers and foster and maintain good subcontractor/vendor relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field preferred, and 3-5 years' work experience or equivalent.
• Available to work occasional extended hours to meet project goals.
• Experience supporting DoD programs.
• Experience managing diverse subcontractors, both large and small businesses.
• Experience with multiple types of agreements, including Fixed-Price, Time and Material and Cost-plus.
• Proficient with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and defense contracting.
• Understanding/knowledge of CPSR reviews and requirements.
• Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds, and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and subcontractors/vendors.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Highly organized in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Global Comp
$35.00 to $70.00/HR This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
