Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine systems and equipment maintenance, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels and their components, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in marine vessels.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete repairs.
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment effectively.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vessel.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vessel's condition and necessary repairs.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as needed.

Skills

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for various marine systems.
  • Experience with soldering and electrical repairs is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles is beneficial.
