Student Engagement Specialist

Job Summary:
The Student Engagement Specialist plays a vital role in creating and sustaining meaningful connections between students and the mission of Teen Advisors, Inc. This highly relational position exists to ensure that no student feels unseen or left behind. Through weekly school visits, and student-focused initiatives, this role helps middle and high school students feel known, valued, and invited into deeper involvement.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement student engagement strategies that support long-term connection, discipleship, and positive peer influence.
- Maintain a weekly presence at school lunches (3 days/week), actively building relationships with both Teen Advisor High School and Velocity Middle School students.
- Collaborate with program staff to stay informed of student activities (sports, performances, etc.) and encourage meaningful support and attendance.
- Partner with the Director of Student Development to recruit and lead Growth Groups that cultivate spiritual growth, leadership, and authentic community among students.
- Manage and maintain a student engagement data tracker,monitoring participation, follow-ups, and areas of need.
- Coordinate school recruitment efforts, helping to increase awareness and participation.
- Track and evaluate program effectiveness, using insights to strengthen engagement strategies and outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents through emails, texts, and social media to promote upcoming events and maintain connection throughout the year.
- Work closely with the program teams to ensure student engagement efforts align with ministry goals and student development.
- Attend and actively participate in the weekly Tuesday night student gathering.
- Participate in the annual Fall retreat (Labor Day weekend) out of town.
- Support Teen Advisors events and initiatives as needed, contributing to the overall mission and success of the organization.
Collaboration and Team Support:
● While the primary focus will be student engagement and connection, you will also support ministry-wide initiatives and events.
● Collaborate across programs to assist as needed. This may include, but is not limited to, attending and supporting both high school and middle school activities, student-led classroom sessions, participating in team meetings, and investing relationally in students across all programs.

Qualifications:
● A strong personal commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the mission of Teen Advisors, Inc.
● Prior experience in youth ministry, student programming, education, or related fields (preferred).
● Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills to engage with students, volunteers, and school partners.
● Familiarity with design software (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) and budgeting tools.
● Experience with social media marketing and recruitment promotion.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem-solve creatively.
● Must pass a background check.
● Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30, $35,000.00 per year
