Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Manage infection control procedures, sterilization processes, and maintain a clean clinical environment in accordance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Valid Washington state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation review and patient records management.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
  • Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. .
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health and treatment plans.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
