Peter Jacobsen Sports (PJS) is a leading sports marketing and event management company specializing in golf events, corporate partnerships, and client service. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Account Coordinator to support our clients, programs, and events through logistics coordination, digital support, and hands-on event operations.

About the Role

The Account Coordinator plays a key role in supporting multiple programs across logistics, communication, documentation, client service, and on-site event operations. This position collaborates with internal teams, vendors, partners, and clients to ensure smooth execution and high-quality deliverables. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable balancing a variety of priorities throughout shifting event cycles. Travel is required (approximately 30%).

Core Responsibilities

The following represents typical responsibilities and expectations of a Peter Jacobsen SPORTS Account Coordinator, regardless of client or project. Event-specific duties will be outlined separately.

1.    
Coordinate Lexus fleet vehicle logistics
at professional and amateur golf events.

2.    
Prepare, maintain, and distribute accurate deliverables
(documentation, databases, spreadsheets, reports, files, etc.) as required for assigned programs.

3.    
Identify and source vendors
for equipment, supplies, and services; gather quotes, support negotiations to secure favorable terms, and provide oversight of vendor deliverables and agreements to ensure all services meet event requirements. Ensure supplies are procured and sent to venues for on-time use.

4.    
Support contract preparation and administration
, including coordinating agreements with clients, governing bodies, venues, and vendors.

5.    
Provide marketing and digital support
, including updating websites, coordinating social media content, creating and distributing email newsletters, and organizing digital media assets.

6.    
Support planning, scheduling, and execution of event logistics
, ensuring details are organized, communicated, and completed on time.

7.    
Assist with on-site event operations
, including setup, vendor coordination, guest services, troubleshooting, and post-event wrap-up.

8.    
Create and organize materials, project timelines, presentations, and reports
as needed for to support internal, client, and event needs.

9.    
Maintain ongoing communication with project teams and clients
, providing updates on progress, next steps, challenges, and required actions.

10. 
Communicate professionally and promptly
with internal teams, clients, partners, vendors, and event representatives.

Accountabilities

This role involves a moderate level of complexity due to high-profile clients and fast-paced event environments. Accurate, timely work is essential, as errors may affect client relationships or disrupt project flow. While the role receives regular guidance from supervisors, coordinators are expected to take initiative, use sound judgment, and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism. The position requires frequent communication across departments and with clients, vendors, tournament staff, and partners, often involving confidential or sensitive information. Coordinators represent PJS in a variety of settings and must uphold professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, sports management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
  • 1–4 years of experience in event coordination, operations, marketing, or client-service environments
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and ability to support content coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including some weekends and extended event day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during event setup and on-site work

Preferred

  • Experience with sports events, nonprofit events, or hospitality
  • Experience coordinating vendors or managing logistics
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools, website CMS updates, or content workflows
  • Experience with Canva or similar tools; Adobe Creative Suite familiarity a plus
  • Comfort working with high-profile clients and partners

Environment

This role operates in a
hybrid environment
, including both in-office and remote work. Employees may use up to two remote flex days per week depending on program schedules, event timelines, and team needs. During peak event periods, remote flexibility may be limited.

Travel (30%) is required to support specific programs, including occasional weekends and extended event hours. Event work occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments and may involve long periods of standing or walking.

Benefits

This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits including 401(k), health, vision, dental, PTO, and paid holidays. The pay range for this position is $20-$24 per hour depending on experience. Work at events typically involve overtime.
