Bortz Technology Group is an MSP that helps a variety of small businesses choose, implement, and maintain Microsoft-based information technology. We are seeking professionals to join our small but growing technical services team. Work is both in our office and at our clients' sites, primarily in Southeast Michigan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing basic remote and "over-the-shoulder support" for end-users
  • Configuring, installing, and maintaining a full-stack of typical office technology including cloud, network, server, workstation, phone, remote, line of business, security and disaster recovery technologies

Troubleshooting and research is a large part of this position. You must be comfortable working alone in a self-directed capacity, utilizing online resources and vendor support to bring issues to resolution.

A successful candidate must have:

  • Industry certifications and/or degree in computer science, computer engineering, information science, management of information technology, or related field
  • Previous, professional IT experience, particularly in a managed services environment
  • Basic PC hardware and software skills
  • Knowledge of standard network technologies
  • Experience with any virtualization platform
  • Experience with a Microsoft Domain of any size
  • Experience with a Microsoft Office 365 tenant of any size

A candidtate would be particularly interesting if they had:

  • Experience in a solution-developing capacity
  • Experience with automation such as imaging, poweshell, and rmm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $60,000.00 per year
