The team is responsible for sourcing and executing M&A transactions, as well as structuring and leading cash-equity partnerships, divestments, and other strategic capital-recycling initiatives for the company's development, in-construction, and operating portfolio.

This position reports directly to the Director of Project M&A Utility Scale, North America for RWE Clean Energy.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support transaction execution for acquisition and divestment processes by coordinating assigned workstreams, organizing due diligence materials, and tracking key deliverables and timelines under the direction of senior team members

  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs across RWE business functions, including development, finance, legal, engineering, and other internal teams, to ensure diligence findings, assumptions, and analyses are accurately reflected in transaction materials
  • Prepare draft presentation materials and analyses for internal committees and external counterparties, summarizing financial results, risks, mitigants, and key considerations under guidance from senior team members
  • Support ad hoc analytical and operational tasks related to transactions or portfolio initiatives, including special analyses, data compilation, or process support as needed
  • Conduct market and industry research by tracking transaction activity, pricing benchmarks, and sector developments, and summarizing findings for use by the broader team
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives by following established templates, tools, and workflows, and providing feedback or suggestions to improve efficiency, accuracy, or consistency
  • Maintain transaction documentation and data organization, including managing virtual data rooms, version control, and issue tracking to support diligence execution and team workflows

Job Requirements and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required) with background in business, finance, accounting, tax or an analytical/quantitative field strongly preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in investment banking, project finance, renewable energy development, infrastructure investing, or a related transaction-oriented or consulting role
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining financial models and investment presentation materials (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint) in support of transaction analysis or investment decisions
  • Foundational understanding of renewable energy project economics and valuation concepts, including cash-flow–based valuation methods and key commercial drivers
  • Exposure to transaction-based processes, such as M&A, debt financing, tax equity, or similar capital markets or project finance workstreams
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to apply established frameworks, follow instructions, and produce accurate analyses in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communicator, with strong written and presentation skills and the ability to tailor outputs for internal review by senior stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player who can work independently on assigned tasks while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams
  • High motivation and adaptability, with comfort operating in a dynamic, international business environment and working with diverse teams and perspectives
