Job Overview:
As a Learning and Development Manager, you'll be responsible for designing, facilitating, and overseeing learning programs that drive professional growth, enhance skills, and foster a culture of continuous learning in alignment with our FirstService Residential Values. The role focuses on aligning learning initiatives with business goals to ensure an impactful and cohesive approach to associate development.
This hybrid position reports to our corporate office in Midtown Manhattan, New York.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage learning programs and initiatives that support leadership development, technical training, and associate upskilling.
- Facilitate training sessions through various methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended approaches, ensuring engagement and alignment with learning objectives.
- Coordinate training programs for new and existing associate with operational Subject Matter Experts.
- Conduct organizational assessments to identify skills gaps and development needs, leveraging data and feedback to make informed decisions on training priorities.
- Oversee the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) for the region to ensure users are informed of available learning and can easily access these resources.
- Responsible for running reports that show associate course completion rate, usage, and other relevant data that may identify areas of opportunity.
- Partner with business leaders and leadership to ensure learning initiatives align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Define and track KPIs related to learning and development to assess program success and ROI, implementing improvements based on data insights.
- Document completion for all national, state, and local compliance trainings via the LMS.
- Track anti-sexual harassment training for buildings associates across various NYC locations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theories including ADDIE, SAM, and training methodologies a plus.
- Experience with LMS platforms and virtual learning tools.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in measuring the impact of L&D programs preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Stream
- Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
- Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task/prioritize different projects at any given time.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
