Job Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Associate supports daily warehouse operations by assisting with inbound and outbound shipments. This role focuses on accurate processing, basic inventory handling, and adherence to established procedures to ensure timely and effective workflow. The ideal candidate will have some experience in warehouse operations, familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, and proficiency with using technology and picking up new systems.
This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, scanning, labeling, and staging orders.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips or RA spreadsheet for accuracy.
- Processing inbound return shipments in SAGE (return and credit)
- Placing inbound products in proper warehouse location.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments and receipts. HAZMAT retention policy knowledge.
- Identify visible damages or discrepancies and report it to supervisor or inventory lead.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
- Contribution to conduct accurate inventory counts, eventually without supervision (sorting, labelling, organization)
- Contribution to cleanliness and organization of warehouse and workspace
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 49CFR certification or ability to become certified
- Ability to perform basic math and follow written instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (or be able to do so with accommodation)
- Proficient knowledge in utilizing carrier provided shipping software for label creation (FEDEX and UPS)
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to load and unload delivery trucks and containers (heavy lifting)
- Basic administration skills, and proficiency with computers and technology, for completion of paperwork and communications
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and reconciliation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly, adaptable and can follow instructions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Punctuality, reliability, and trustworthiness
The following attributes are not required but will ensure you can be successful in this role, and as such will put your application ahead of the rest.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning
- Pallet Jack and/or Walkie Stacker experience (certification a plus but not required)
- Mechanical Aptitude, comfortable using basic hand tools
- Independent working skills as well as being a team player
- A can-do attitude to work related tasks
- Dedicated focus to getting tasks done.

Working onsite, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, with no weekend work as standard (unless in consultation during the busy season or key projects).
