Job Overview

As a Produce/Wine Associate, you'll be the vibrant face of our grocery store, bringing enthusiasm and expertise to our produce and wine sections. You will engage with customers, providing them with exceptional service while ensuring that our products are fresh, appealing, and well-stocked. Your role will be crucial in creating an inviting shopping experience that encourages customers to explore and enjoy our offerings.

What you'll do

  • Engage customers with friendly and knowledgeable service, assisting them in selecting the best produce and wines for their needs.
  • Maintain the visual appeal of the produce and wine displays through effective merchandising techniques.
  • Showcase new items and encourage sales.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent cashiering services.
  • Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring that all products are organized and easily accessible for customers.
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems to process transactions and manage inventory effectively.
  • Upsell products by highlighting promotions and special offers to enhance customer satisfaction.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
