The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description As a Human Resources Specialist 1 within the Performance Management Unit, the incumbent will serve as a liaison to provide assistance, advocacy, guidance and advise on all facets of Performance Management. The incumbent will perform a wide range of performance management activities in accordance with Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations, polices, and procedures, including but not limited to:
• Manage performance development documents and traineeship plans for new and current employees, assisting in aligning tasks and standards with Civil Service Classification Standards.
• Monitor and track all aspects of performance management documentation, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Manage performance evaluation documentation and expectations for new appointments, supervisory changes, or title modifications.
• Review and process transactions in collaboration with multiple business units, including but not limited to, terminations, absence extensions, second probation requests, traineeship fast-tracking, probation completions, traineeship advancements, and suspensions, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits of Human Resources management systems transactions, trackers, and reports to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors and program liaisons on constructive approaches to employee performance issues, including drafting appropriate evaluation language.
• Collaborate with Recruitment staff to address and resolve Out-of-Title Work Grievances efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned in support of the Performance Management Unit's goals and initiatives.
