Experienced Medical Biller

Qualifications:

2+ years of medical billing experience with a medical 3rd party billing required.

Experience with EMR

ICD-10 & CPT coding knowledge

Experience with insurance and referral process

Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational and problem solving skills

MINIMUM of 2 years RECENT billing experience

We are seeking a professional, hard working individual, who is able to work independently.

Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and patient medical record software is required.

Must have excellent communication skills.

Must have excellent computer skills

Responsibilities:

  • Post medical charges

  • Post EOBs / patient payments

  • AR Insurance Calls

  • Patient Calls

  • Entering/checking patient demographics

  • Claim submission - entering/reviewing claims into billing software

  • Contact patients and/or insurance carriers when necessary

  • Work directly with multiple doctor's offices

  • Multitasking and using time efficiently- must be organized

  • Follow up on all correspondence received for any accounts outstanding

  • Responsible for reviewing outstanding patient collections balances and insurance balances

Candidate should be aggressive on the phone with insurance companies & understand appeals. Ability to read EOBs, import ERAs, post and appeal. Possess excellent customer service skills and ability to answer frequent billing calls. Able to work in a fast paced environment with high volume workload

We are seeking a person with significant previous experience able to work independently and efficiently in tracking account receivables and a thorough knowledge of Medicare and commercial providers , with at least 2 RECENT years medical billing experience.
