We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer II to join our growing team. This person will collaborate with the current team to manage and resolve technical issues. You will work with our team and collaborate with Development to support existing software systems that facilitate the distribution of incentives for clean energy technologies reporting systems. You will bring technical expertise and a team-oriented approach to handle various tasks to resolve technical issues to ensure our systems meet our clients' needs, the programs we support, and our Information Systems department.
 
To ensure success, you should be proficient in debugging and resolving technical issues, managing multiple tasks, have strong research and communication skills, and the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. This position will report to the Software Support Manager

This is a hybrid work opportunity.  At ES, this means working onsite at one of our offices a minimum of 1 day/week (currently Wednesdays) with flexibility for the remainder of the days. ES has offices in Oakland, CA, Orange, CA, Portland, OR, Chicago, IL, and Boston, MA. Responsibilities: 

Manage software work tickets: gathering information and seeking clarity of the request, prioritizing tasks, assigning tickets and following-up on completion of deliverablesTroubleshoot and reproduce technical issues and develop technical solutionsEscalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resourcesCollaborate with client teams and technical staff to support custom software systems Engage with our software development teams to support our development environmentsAbility to interact with a broad range of people of varying technical levels including other IS staff, IS Management, Project Management, and functional usersContributing to our documentation through knowledge articles and runbooksRespond to support tasks with timely solutionsProvide support, direction, and guidance to team membersSelf-manage time and work under minimal guidance

Minimum Qualifications: (Quantifiable Skills i.e Years of experience)

Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) preferred but not requiredMinimum 5 years of relevant experienceStrong multitasking, documentation, and decision-making skillsExperience with Jira Software and other Atlassian products, or similarStrong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience collaborating directly with other staff such as engineers and project managersExperience with Python scriptingSelf-motivated, detail-attentive, and have a desire for continuous learningFamiliarity/experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack and SharePoint a plusExperience with SOC 2 a plusEnergy efficiency/renewable energy domain experience a plus

The salary range for this role is $85,000 – $115,000, with a target compensation of $97,750 based on experience and qualifications

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations.
