Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our distribution center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting various warehouse functions to ensure smooth operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, safety standards, and materials handling processes. Prior experience in warehouse is a plus, along with familiarity with warehouse systems and equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes. The Warehouse Worker will play a vital role in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and cranes while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, tracking using RF scanners, and updating warehouse management systems like AS400.
  • Pick and pack orders efficiently for shipping and order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely for materials handling, including crane operation and heavy lifting tasks.
  • Assist with stocking shelves, organizing warehouse space, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against orders.
  • Conduct regular inventory management tasks such as cycle counts and stock replenishment to ensure optimal warehouse distribution.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow processes and improve overall warehouse efficiency.
  • Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance when necessary.

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations including inventory , order picking & packing, shipping & receiving.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems , RF scanners, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling machinery safely.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and heavy equipment operation.
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic repairs or maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy.
  • Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous but not required. This Warehouse Worker position offers an engaging environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are prioritized to support our operational goals effectively.
