Our Laredo Distribution Center is currently seeking Graders to join our team. In this critical role, you will work on production lines to sort incoming greenhouse grown product: peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers; ensuring that all product meets the required specifications for our customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Learn and maintain product quality standards that meet customer specifications. Assist in packaging/washing set up, as needed, to ensure smooth flow of product. Maintain a sanitized and organized department that meets all food safety requirements. Must handle all sanitizing chemicals safely, as prescribed. Work as a valued team member with good attendance, open to training and learning and supporting all co-workers to ensure production goals are met. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma is preferred. Related work experience in food production is an asset. Proficient with the English language, both written and verbal. Available to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays may be required). Be respectful and deal tactfully with co-workers, customers and vendors. Keep all company information confidential. Complete a background and drug test screening. Working Conditions: Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages a constant 55 degrees (except office areas). The background noise approaches 70 dcbs. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. with or without accommodation. Position requires standing during work shift.
