Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to join our team specializing in high-volume imports. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store maintains an attractive and organized appearance. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and supervising experience are a plus, as is familiarity with grocery store operations and product demonstrations. This position offers an engaging environment where sales skills and product knowledge are essential to success.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
  • Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
  • Handle cash, perform cashiering duties, and manage cash handling accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Assist with inventory management including stock replenishment and stock rotation
  • Support in supervising team members when required, ensuring smooth store operations
  • Maintain proper phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or high-volume import environments
  • Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are advantageous
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions
  • Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Supervising experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and cash handling
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
