Job description:
Las Vegas Radiology is seeking a Part-Time experienced CT Technologist. A successful candidate in this role will have the ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic testing by taking images of patient's bodies using computerized CT scanners while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Regular/consistent attendance at the business setting
· Ability to closely follow a physician's instructions
· Select software options and imaging parameters when adjusting an CT machine
· Maneuver examination equipment
· Explain CT procedures to patients
· Prepare patient for the imaging process
· Appropriately position patients
· Accurately record the images requested
· Administer IV contrast when medically necessary
· Print and/or burn CD depending on the ordering physician's request
· Ability to lift or assist in the transferring of a patient from wheelchair or gurney to CT machine
· Completes necessary administrative tasks.
· Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality
· Complies with all safety policies and regulations
Key capabilities to be successful in this role:
· Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
· Positive and effective communication skills both verbal and written with physicians, staff and patients
Must-have experience:
· Minimum one (1) year experience as a CT Technologist. Must have CTA experience.
· Graduate of a formally accredited CT Technology Program
· Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
