Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. This role requires a strong commitment to patient well-being, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Provide support in various specialties, including but not limited to hospital medicine, occupational health, and dementia care.
  • Perform IV insertion and infusion procedures as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies through health coaching.
  • Assist with toddler care when required, ensuring their safety and comfort during visits.
  • Participate in specialty procedures such as ophthalmology consultations and dermal fillers administration when applicable.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic for documentation and patient management.

Skills

  • Proficiency in hospital medicine practices and occupational health protocols.
  • Experience in dementia care, demonstrating patience and understanding of cognitive impairments.
  • Strong skills in IV insertion and infusion techniques, ensuring patient comfort during procedures.
  • Knowledge of health coaching principles to guide patients towards healthier lifestyles.
  • Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is a plus, along with experience in administering dermal fillers if applicable.
  • Competence in using electronic medical records systems such as Epic for efficient patient documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
