Sr. Electrical Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX

Role Overview

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will apply advanced knowledge of electrical systems design to create construction drawings and provide ongoing professional support throughout the full project lifecycle. This position serves as the primary liaison between the design team and the client, ensuring seamless coordination, quality assurance, and project delivery. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and designers, contributing to the growth and development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely electrical design elements consistent with project specifications, hours, and scope.

  • Develop electrical construction documents appropriate for permitting.

  • Ensure all designs meet building codes, engineering standards, and company QA/QC processes.

  • Actively participate in post-design activities, including site surveys, punch lists, and client meetings, through project completion.

  • Manage project schedules, deadlines, and communication between the design team and client.

  • Research and present design options consistent with project requirements.

  • Select appropriate electrical systems and equipment for projects.

  • Mentor and oversee junior engineers and CAD designers.

  • Collaborate with other disciplines to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs.

  • Assist in preparing accurate proposals and engineering agreements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Demonstrated understanding of construction processes and interpretation of construction drawings.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards, building codes, and drafting standards.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proven experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Demonstrated expertise in a specific electrical engineering sector.

  • Professional and proactive with a positive attitude.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong client-facing communication skills.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel anticipated between 0–10%.
