New York, New York, United States Norm AI Full time $110,000 - $130,000
About Norm AI

Norm AI is the Compliance AI Platform for legal standards-based reasoning & workflow automation.

We developed the first Domain Specific Language (DSL) for fully representing regulatory requirements in AI code. This DSL, deployed through our enterprise platform, enables Norm clients to transform workflows and apply compliance checks at the source of business activity.

We are setting the norms for compliance processes at the largest institutions in the world. Our client base includes firms with a combined $30 trillion in assets under management—and it's growing quickly.

Our software engineers come from Palantir, Google, Meta, AWS, Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. Our legal engineers hail from Harvard Law, Stanford Law, Yale Law, Sullivan & Cromwell, Simpson Thacher, Davis Polk, Greenberg Traurig, the SEC, and FINRA.

We've raised $85 million in the past 18 months from top VCs and global institutions including Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, Coatue, Craft Ventures, New York Life, Citi, TIAA, and Marc Benioff.

This Role

We're hiring our first Strategy Associate to join Norm Ai's Strategy & Operations team. This person will be responsible for driving some of the most important initiatives across the company and working cross-functionally to execute on priority projects. This is a true "do-everything" role - you'll dive into new projects with little context, move quickly to make sense of ambiguity, and deliver thoughtful, high-quality work that drives impact.

You'll work closely with leadership to tackle a wide range of problems, moving seamlessly between strategic priorities and hands-on execution - from building materials for client and partner meetings, to evaluating new product and market opportunities, supporting strategic partnerships, and helping operationalize company-wide initiatives.

This role is for you if you are action-oriented, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to tackle every problem no matter how big or small. You are someone who searches for opportunities to improve an organization, excels at context-switching and takes the initiative to drive solutions for problems you've identified.

Core Responsibilities
  • You are responsible for getting things done. You should operate as a true generalist which means jumping into any challenge, whether that's analyzing a dataset or running a project sprint.

  • Build structure in ambiguity: define clear goals, success metrics, and work plans for open-ended projects.

  • Help implement and refine internal processes that improve velocity, communication, and accountability across teams.

  • Create thoughtful materials for prospect and client discussions for enterprise-level customers who expect tailored solutions

  • Support partnership efforts by creating enablement materials and supporting those discussions

  • Conduct market research and trends to identify new growth opportunities for Norm Ai

  • Enhance Norm Ai's culture around data by translating complex analyses into compelling narratives for both internal and external audiences.

Skills & Experience
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, or a similar high-paced, analytical environment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills - comfort with Excel/Sheets, building frameworks, and communicating insights clearly.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You can craft executive-ready presentations and concise narratives.

  • A bias for action and comfort operating with limited direction - you take ownership, ask smart questions, and figure things out.

  • Creativity and strategic thinking - able to assess needs at a high level, connect the dots across functions, and design innovative solutions and frameworks from the ground up.

  • Curiosity and adaptability - eager to learn new domains and contribute wherever needed.

  • Humility - there is nothing that you work on that is too big or too small.

$110,000-130,000 a year.
