PCA Personal Care Assistant

Duties:

  • Provide assistance with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. (CNAs)
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Document client care activities and observations accurately and timely.
  • Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of catheter care, memory care, and medication administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with assisted living facilities and their systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs.
