The purpose of the Ben E. Keith Manufacturing Sales and Training Manager is to drive sales increases on Ben E. Keith Manufacturing Division produced items by increasing focus on the category through enhanced division level product knowledge training, target marketing, sales data analysis and key operator calls.
- The successful candidate will understand food manufacturing, foodservice distribution, and broker management, and will bring strong communication and organizational skills to help maximize sales within an internally aligned but independently operating ecosystem.
- Manage and support the broker network to effectively represent the manufacturing company's product lines.
- Develop and execute BEK Manufacturing product knowledge training at both a division level to enhance DSR product knowledge to drive increased sales and GP% within the Center of the Plate category.
- Manage BEK Manufacturing product knowledge training at division sales meetings.
- Highlight key BEK Manufacturing production items within the division training schedules, promotional calendars and key Center of the Plate holidays.
- Develop a direct working relationship with our DSMs, BDMs, CMs, DOPs, GMs, AGMs and Center of the Plate teams.
- Attend sales meetings, sales trainings, DSM regional meetings when requested.
- Provide quarterly updates to Category Managers on BEK Manufacturing sales and margins for their division.
- Attend BEK divisions' food shows and holiday shows.
- Develop and implement broker sales strategies aligned with company goals and product capacity.
- Coordinate and conduct BEK Manufacturing production capabilities presentations to prospective and existing large street and program account customers.
- Establish and maintain business relationships plus conduct annual business reviews with key customers.
- Work with CMS and BDMS to identify opportunities for BEK Manufacturing.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Manufacturing foodservice sales management experience required.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and foodservice distribution models.
- Commodity Beef and Pork Knowledge.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to learn and use Ben E. Keith applications.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience analyzing sales data.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
