Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our company's procurement operations across multiple manufacturing sites. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient material availability to meet production demands, while driving vendor performance, cost efficiency, and overall supply chain excellence

The successful candidate will be a strategic and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in manufacturing procurement, vendor management, and materials planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full procurement cycle — from purchase order creation through receipt of goods.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and work instructions related to procurement and contract management.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers for materials, equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Create and manage vendor scorecards to track and improve supplier performance.
  • Source, evaluate, and qualify new and existing vendors (domestic and international).
  • Maintain and execute materials plans in support of the master production schedule and customer demand.
  • Monitor, maintain, and report on inventory levels throughout the supply chain to minimize excess inventory and optimize cash flow.
  • Coordinate inventory accuracy with accounting teams through weekly cycle counts, physical inventories, and transaction audits.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Production teams to ensure alignment on material supply and demand planning.
  • Partner with Engineering to source materials and equipment for new projects.
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service by identifying solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel, and an understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Exhibit accountability, teamwork, and effective communication skills (written and verbal) within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree (Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with ERP systems and MRP tools (Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central preferred).
  • Experience in the building materials or metals industry is considered an asset.
  • Professional designations such as SCMP, C.P.P., or CPIM are an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/French) is an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
