How Do You Excel In This Position
The ideal candidate will be able to to oversee multiple audio-visual (AV) construction projects. This role ensures AV installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include managing AV-specific project plans, budgets, and schedules; coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and engineers; and supervising on-site work to ensure proper installation and system integration. The Project Manager will address change orders, oversee equipment deliveries, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Success in this role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and experience with AV systems in a construction environment.
What Are We Looking For
- Associate degree in a field related to construction (i.e., engineering, architecture) or equivalent related work experience required.
- 2 years' of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed project phases, along with strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
- 10-hour OSHA certification required.
- Primary project financial competence (budget, labor, costs, billings), forecasting (% complete, % billed), KPI's (financial, productivity, quality, culture), and reporting (progress, schedule).
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment are essential.
- Must be authorized to work in US.
- Ability to travel extensively with a valid Driver's License.
- Government badge may be required for most sites, must be prepared to pass an extensive background check.
Additional Skills Preferred But Not Required
- Bachelor's preferred. Higher education degree and additional certifications (i.e., PMP, CEM, LEED AP, EIT, or PE).
- 30-hour OSHA certification a plus.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards a plus.
- CTS Certification a plus.
