Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Shop Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in cabinetry and woodworking, providing a valuable foundation for a career in construction, carpentry, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment focused on quality craftsmanship. This paid apprenticeship is designed to develop your skills in cabinet fabrication, installation, and related construction trades.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the fabrication of cabinets and custom woodwork according to project specifications and schematics
  • Learn to operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
  • Support the assembly and installation of cabinets, fixtures, and related components on-site or in the shop
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
  • Participate in measuring, cutting, sanding, finishing, and quality inspection processes
  • Collaborate with experienced carpenters and craftsmen on various construction projects including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards at all times
  • Assist with heavy lifting and material handling as needed for project completion

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of construction or carpentry preferred; experience with woodworking or remodeling is a plus
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading is advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to cabinetry, framing, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and restoration trades
  • Prior experience on construction sites or in manufacturing environments is beneficial but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • A positive attitude with a strong work ethic committed to safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
