Summary
Under general supervision, the Director of Clinical Services oversees all operational, clinical, and administrative aspects of ADAPT MPS to ensure full compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and other payor requirements. This role provides leadership and supervision to all program staff, drives business growth through outreach and marketing initiatives, and ensures the highest quality of care for all patients served. The Director of Clinical Services is also responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, monitoring performance standards, and fostering collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Services include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to all ADAPT MPS staff, ensuring that responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with operational goals.
- Oversee the full hiring lifecycle for new clinicians, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance evaluation.
- Partner with the Human Resources Department to manage employee relations matters, including hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, terminations, and performance management.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and administrative standards of practice across the program.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Quality Assurance process to evaluate service delivery and ensure continuous improvement.
- Establish feedback mechanisms for patients and partnering agencies to assess quality of care, and create corrective action plans to address identified concerns.
- Ensure appropriate clinical supervision and oversight for all dependent practitioners and coordinate administrative supervision for clinical supervisors.
- Collaborate with the Director of Mental Health Services and Director of Rehabilitation Services to maintain and update procedures related to clinical documentation, plans of care, and treatment note requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the billing company and electronic health record (EHR) vendor to address and resolve operational or technical issues promptly.
- Partner with the Finance Department to monitor service delivery data, clinician productivity, billing processes, and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely financial tracking.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and maintain content for social media, website updates, and outreach campaigns that promote program growth.
- Lead marketing and outreach initiatives to expand community awareness and attract new patients and provider partnerships.
- Analyze operational and financial data, in collaboration with the Director of Business Operations, to identify trends, assess program performance, and develop strategies for sustainable growth in line with the agency's business plan.
- Investigate and resolve complaints or concerns in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
- Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to guide continuous improvement and program innovation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare operations, behavioral health, or managed care, including supervisory or program management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party billing and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage competing priorities, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clinicians, leadership, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, electronic health record systems, and data management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
COMPENSATION:
