Withum's Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of our firm. This Audit Senior role will be based out of our New York City office. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. As an Audit Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in leading audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and delivering exceptional client service. This role focuses on clients in the real estate industry, including REITs, developers, real estate funds, and property managers.

How You'll Spend Your Time
Leading the engagement team on the planning and execution of audits, reviews, and compilations for real estate clients including REITs, developers, real estate funds and property managersOverseeing day-to-day operations of audit engagements including staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reportingSupervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing workpapers, and providing feedbackCollaborating with managers and partners to resolve client issues and provide strategic recommendationsReviewing general ledger accounts and financial statements for reliability and complianceUnderstanding real estate-specific regulations and compliance requirementsManaging multiple engagements and deadlines across various teamsParticipating in professional development programs and firm initiativesThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA eligibility preferred2–4 years of public accounting experience, ideally with real estate clientsStrong technical knowledge of audit procedures and real estate accountingExcellent communication, project management, and leadership skillsExperience with audit software and ERP systems used in the real estate industryAbility to manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality work under deadlinesThe compensation for this position ranges from $80,000-$110,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
