DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about empowering developers to build innovative solutions on the cloud? The AWS Developer Experience team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced US Designer to transform the way technical builders learn, experiment, and interact with AWS through their careers.

You will be responsible for bringing new developer-focused experiences to life, and shaping how AWS builds effective relationships with new to cloud and experienced AWS developers. In this role you will partner with product management, engineering, research, and the Developer Experience team to innovate and build an experience for the AWS developer community.

You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing and launching a community program that inspires and empowers technical builders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.
  • Use business and high level requirements to design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new features and experiences.
  • Develop personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Facilitate the design process, present and iterate design solutions.
  • Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers.

A day in the life

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.

We value work-life harmony. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why flexible work hours and arrangements are part of our culture. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there's nothing we can't achieve in the cloud.

Here at AWS, it's in our nature to learn and be curious. Our employee-led affinity groups foster a culture of inclusion that empower us to be proud of our differences.
