Hiring a highly experienced construction estimator with a background in the low voltage electrical contracting space is a crucial part of our growth.

Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Estimator, where your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our projects In this vibrant position, you'll leverage your skills in construction estimating and project management to deliver accurate cost assessments and ensure the successful execution of construction contracts. Your keen eye for detail and strong negotiation skills will empower you to manage budgets effectively while collaborating closely with various stakeholders on-site.

What you'll do

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Walk project sites with stakeholders. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to develop comprehensive pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to assess site conditions and ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify material and labor costs, ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, implementing cost control measures as necessary.
  • Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in construction management to continuously improve estimating processes.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes.

Preferred qualifications

  • Candidates with RCDD Certifications from BICSI will be highly considered.
  • Proficiency in low voltage and physical security contracting.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
  • Experience in cost control methodologies within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites, providing valuable insights into practical applications.
