Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable PM Stable Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and extensive experience working with horses. This role involves feeding, turn in/out of horses, and general chores around the farm. Additional hours are possible for the right applicant (teaching, stall cleaning, social media, computer work, event planning). If you are not extremely comfortable working with horses, please do not apply. Please no college students unless you live in the area year round. Hours are Sun - Tue and Th-Fri 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Paid sick time off.

Responsibilities

  • Evening/weekend chores including feeding, watering, turn in/out of horses
  • Maintain cleanliness of the barns, and surrounding areas to ensure a safe environment.
  • Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management.
  • Manage other, less experienced, employees.
  • Communicate with Farm Manager and clients.
  • Operate farm machinery and equipment safely
  • Perform heavy lifting as necessary to manage feed, bedding, and other materials.

Skills

  • Strong background in animal husbandry and animal care practices.
  • Detail and safety oriented
  • Familiarity with equine care is mandatory

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 22 per week
