We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in preparing and executing menu items with precision, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Oversee food production processes, including food handling, cooking, and plating, to maintain consistency across all dishes.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste through effective food management.
  • Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Lead catering and banquet events by overseeing food preparation, presentation, and timely service to uphold our reputation for excellence.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations and safety protocols.
  • Support restaurant management in shift planning, staff scheduling, and operational improvements to optimize workflow.
  • Participate actively in menu planning by incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary ideas.
  • Ensure all food service activities adhere to safety standards while promoting a positive guest experience through attentive service.

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining settings.
  • Proven supervising experience leading kitchen teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with banquet operations, catering services, and large-scale food production.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate and guide team members.
  • Experience managing inventory control and implementing efficient kitchen workflows.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, and overall restaurant management practices.
  • Background in hospitality or food industry roles that emphasize customer service excellence.
  • Competence in shift management, kitchen operations, and food service management including bartending when necessary.
