As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Rounds in Berlin, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your customer service skills and clear communication will be key in assisting visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to company and client procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site visitors, employees, and contractors to provide assistance and enforce site policies as needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and maintain daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the client.
• Collaborate with public emergency responders and/or other relevant personnel as necessary during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
