As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials, and managing badge systems. You will conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents, maintain a strong presence, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your ability to communicate clearly and utilize technology, such as computers or tablets, will help you support a secure environment. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors according to site-specific procedures.
- Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help protect property and assets.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any observed irregularities.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and coordinating with on-site personnel as needed.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
