Job Overview:

UPA is hiring Utility Field Technicians in the Savannah, GA area to perform utility meter maintenance and upgrades. This is a full-time position with paid training, company equipment, and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely install and upgrade utility meters
  • Record data accurately using handheld devices
  • Communicate clearly with utility customers
  • Drive and maintain a company-provided vehicle
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Handle assigned tools, supplies, and equipment responsibly

Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and walk long distances
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Consistent attendance is required
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Must pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening (urinalysis)
  • Able to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions
  • Experience using electronic handheld devices is a plus
