We're currently seeking a Medical Assistant to become part of our collaborative team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting both providers and patients with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and minor office procedures
  • Record patient vitals, history, and symptoms accurately in the EMR system
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and injections as ordered
  • Perform blood draws, collect lab specimens, and run basic tests
  • Conduct EKGs and support diagnostic assessments
  • Maintain clean, sanitized, and properly stocked exam rooms and instruments
  • Process prescription refills and assist with prior authorizations
  • Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other patient support as needed
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication use, and preventive care
  • Manage scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments
  • Uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards and adhere to infection control guidelines
  • Offer translation assistance for patients, when applicable
  • Support the front desk team with check-ins, calls, and general office tasks

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in a family practice or primary care setting (preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with common procedures in family medicine
  • Comfortable navigating EMR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks, etc.)
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Attention to accuracy and patient confidentiality
