Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care at our interventional pain management clinic. Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Support clinical procedures.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems by entering patient data, updating charts, coding diagnoses with ICD codes, and ensuring accuracy for billing and documentation purposes.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tasks like specimen collection or processing tests when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Proven experience in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics.
  • Environments, or specialty practices like pain management or orthopedics.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures.
  • Experience working with EHR systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient settings.
