Job Summary
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Specialist to join our inside sales team. This program aims to develop young sales professionals using the "Navia Logistics Way" as a guide, excelling in consultative, value-added sales solutions and self-directed lead generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial development team at all management levels in organizing sales activities and special sales initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing lead generation programs for all sales team members.
- Generate sales leads through various resources, including trade magazines, trade show lists, targeted searches, and the Panjiva resource tool.
- Develop detailed customer profiles to enable sales professionals to conduct effective cold calls.
- Prepare for client meetings by organizing collateral, promotional items, new client packets, client documents, client gifts, and catering arrangements.
- Conduct cold calling to engage potential clients and generate new business opportunities.
- Manage and maintain the CRM system by entering new leads, assigning them to sales professionals, and generating reports as required.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to coordinate trade show events, online marketing campaigns, and email blasts.
- Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Navia Logistics' service offerings and how they benefit our customers.
- Ensure proficiency in utilizing the CRM database, providing clear visibility into ongoing deals with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare and send comprehensive onboarding packets to new customers.
- Facilitate the new customer onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Set up NaviaHub sign-ins for new customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or work experience in supply chain, business, sales, or marketing.
- 0-2 years of experience in freight forwarding sales.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely while adapting communication content to the audience's level. Active listening skills and the ability to respond to questions with complete and accurate answers.
- Must be assertive, goal-oriented, resourceful, persistent, and energetic. Demonstrates appropriate self-assurance and remains poised in uncertain situations.
- Proficient in using PC and web-based applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:
- This role is performed indoors in a traditional office setting, involving extended periods of sitting at a computer and occasional fast-paced operations and events.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and co-workers. Regular use of the telephone, virtual meetings, and email for communication. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges are essential for conversations, receiving information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
- Good manual dexterity for using common office equipment such as computers, calculators, and copiers.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel, and operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad.
