Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and leading a motivated and high-performing team. This position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to upholding company standards for quality, service, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards for food, beverage, and service.
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and systems to optimize efficiency.

Financial Performance

  • Manage labor, inventory, and cost control in alignment with budget goals.
  • Analyze P&L statements to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Accurately track sales, expenses, and other key performance indicators.

Leadership & Staff Development

  • Recruit, train, and develop management and hourly team members.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective scheduling.

Guest Experience

  • Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant to engage with guests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Create an atmosphere of hospitality and professionalism that aligns with brand values.
  • Respond to guest feedback and implement strategies to enhance satisfaction.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with ownership and marketing teams to execute promotions and events.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations to drive traffic and visibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a General Manager or senior management role in full-service restaurants.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and manage teams.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in POS systems, scheduling software, R365, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ServSafe or other food safety certification preferred.
