Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive Care: Perform physical exams, diagnostic tests, surgeries (including species-specific cases), and dentistry.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop and implement customized treatment plans for small animals and exotic pets.
  • Client Education: Consult with clients on their pets' health, preventive care, and treatment options.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated multi-doctor team, fostering a collaborative approach to animal care.
  • Community Involvement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the Sarasota community.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including digital radiographs, ultrasound, and echocardiography.
 
Ideal Candidate:
  • Education: DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
  • Licensing: Active license to practice in Florida (or the ability to obtain a license in the state).
  • Experience: Open to veterinarians of all experience levels. Previous experience with exotic pets and species-specific care is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, a passion for learning, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
