As we continue to strengthen our collaboration with TxDOT, we seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist to maintain the financial integrity of our operations.

Job Description:

We are in search of a meticulous and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist to join our team. This role primarily involves ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts owed to the company. Reporting directly to the Controller, the ideal candidate will possess robust communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to collections.

Job Duties:

• Initiate communication with clients to request and arrange payments promptly, using tact and professionalism.
• Maintain and update accounting software databases and spreadsheets accurately, ensuring all payment records are current and complete.
• Record and meticulously track payments to ensure precise documentation of payment histories and outstanding balances.
• Generate comprehensive reports and balance sheets to monitor progress in collections, using industry-standard terminology.
• Facilitate the setup of monthly ACH and credit card payments efficiently, providing clear instructions to clients.
• Issue collection and lawsuit letters as necessary, adhering to legal guidelines and employing persuasive language when appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to resolve any outstanding issues promptly, employing negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Provide backup support to the Accountant as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in managing workload priorities.
• Assist in handling special projects assigned by the management, utilizing problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers using professional language.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong focus on data entry accuracy, ensuring all payment records are meticulously maintained.
• Proficient in office technology and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to generate reports and maintain databases.
• Experience with Microsoft CRM and Microsoft Business Central is advantageous, facilitating efficient management of client accounts.
• Active listening skills with a knack for effective note-taking, enabling accurate documentation of client communications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent time management skills, enabling efficient resolution of collection issues.
• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable roles is preferred, with a demonstrated understanding of collection processes and terminology.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English is a plus, enabling effective communication with a diverse client base.
• Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm

Pay: $45, $55,000.00 per year
