Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within our clinic and hospital settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is preferred, as well as knowledge of basic life support.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health systems.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of emergency medicine, urgent care practices, and hospital medicine.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Understanding of human physiology and medical terminology.
  • Experience working in a Level II trauma center or outpatient clinic is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
