Job Title: Medical Scribe – Pain Management

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Medical Scribe to join our specialty care team at Dr. Justin Faye, MD. This role is essential in supporting clinical documentation during patient visits, particularly in pain management settings. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in pain management and/or orthopedics with a strong grasp of medical terminology to ensure accurate, real-time charting that enhances provider efficiency and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document patient encounters, procedures, and provider assessments in real time using EHR systems
  • Transcribe medical histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
  • Track diagnostic results, medication changes, and referrals to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to support efficient clinical workflows
  • Assist with clerical tasks related to documentation and patient records

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in health sciences preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pain management, orthopedics, or a related clinical setting
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy, especially musculoskeletal and pain-related vocabulary
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (60+ WPM preferred)
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation protocols (Elation experience a plus)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required to support patient communication
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $14–$17/hour, commensurate with experience and clinical background
  • Full-time position, Monday–Friday, with occasional extended hours based on clinic needs
  • Collaborative work culture and growth opportunities (lead scribe or clinical support roles)
