We are looking to fill this position immediately but will respect any notice needed before the start date.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance across Sundance's commercial properties. This role focuses on hands-on work with building systems, tenant service requests, and basic troubleshooting to support the overall function and appearance of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Complete work orders and tenant service requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and coordinate with licensed contractors as needed.
- Support Sundance's preventive maintenance program and monthly inspection routines using the Landport system.
- Perform systems repairs (lighting, doors, hardware, plumbing fixtures, ceiling tiles, etc.).
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, including company vehicle, mechanical rooms and shop spaces.
- Participate in rotating after-hours emergency response schedule.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial or residential maintenance, building operations experience.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general repair tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills for day-to-day issues.
- Good communication and customer service skills when working with tenants.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Landport or other maintenance/work order systems is a plus.
- Valid driver's license, strong driving record, and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work safely in mechanical environments.
