Imperial Highway Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced, responsible, enthusiastic, and pet loving individuals to join our team. We are a two doctor practice focusing on giving quality care for our client's pets. We are a full service facility: digital x-rays, surgical suite, dental suite, scope unit (for endoscopy), laparoscopic devices, CT machine, ultrasound/echo's, and therapeutic laser.

The candidtate must be comfortable talking to clients. They must have basic veterinary knowledge on vaccinations, as well as familiarity on common medictions, illnesses, surgery, and procedures.

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures
  • Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging such as X-rays
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
  • Provide compassionate care to animals during their stay at the clinic
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

Experience:

  • Experience in animal husbandry and care
  • Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices
  • Familiarity with kennel operations and animal handling techniques
  • Proficiency in X-ray procedures for diagnostic purposes
  • Ability to provide pet care, including dog handling and training
  • Understanding of veterinary terminology and medical procedures
