Job Title: HVAC and Refrigeration Service Field Supervisor

Summary:

DEEM, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Field HVAC/R Service Field Supervisor to lead and supervise our team of Service Technicians in the Greater Orlando area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the HVAC and refrigeration industry, including demonstrated experience with rack refrigeration systems commonly used in grocery store and supermarket environments. This expertise is essential for supporting our technicians and servicing our large commercial retail clients.

As the Field Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing field operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the professional growth of your team. Your leadership, communication skills, and ability to make sound decisions under pressure will directly impact the success of our service department and contribute to the continued growth of DEEM, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead, coach, and supervise a team of Service Technicians to ensure top-tier service delivery.
• Delegate tasks efficiently based on technician skillsets, job complexity, and workload.
• Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily field operations and clear direction to ensure project timelines and service goals are met.

Technical Expertise & Problem Solving

• Support technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC and refrigeration issues.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and mentorship as needed.
• Apply advanced knowledge of rack refrigeration systems to support accurate troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• ·Make timely, informed decisions—particularly in high-pressure situations—to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure service work aligns with DEEM's quality standards and industry best practices.

Customer Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of escalation for customer inquiries, concerns, and service issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including large grocery and supermarket customers.
• Understand customer needs and align service solutions to exceed expectations.
• Ensure customer communication is clear, timely, and professional.

Communication & Collaboration

• Promote consistent communication between field technicians, office staff, leadership, and customers.
• Coordinate with scheduling and dispatch teams to optimize technician routes and service efficiency.
• Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to operational planning and process improvements.

Resource Management

• Ensure technicians have all necessary tools, equipment, and resources to perform their work effectively.
• Monitor, track, and analyze service performance metrics for ongoing improvement.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, tool allocation, and equipment maintenance.

Team Development & Performance Management

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify training needs and support ongoing professional development programs.
• Play an active role in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding qualified technicians.
• Encourage a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.

Safety & Compliance

• Uphold and enforce company safety standards and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure technicians adhere to proper safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC and Refrigeration industry.
• Prior experience in rack refrigeration used in grocery stores or supermarket facilities is highly preferred.
• Strong technical proficiency in HVAC, and refrigeration.
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate field teams.
• Exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Experience servicing and managing relationships with large commercial customers is a plus.
• Customer-centric mindset with the ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Technical training or certification in HVAC/R installation preferred.
• Associate degree in HVAC Technology, Refrigeration, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Background Check & Drug Screening: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
• Driver's License: Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean and insurable driving record.

Licensing & Certification:

• EPA certification required.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Work prolonged hours and in confined areas
• Work in extreme temperatures (–20°F to 120°F)
• Wear full PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
• Climb ladders and operate aerial lifts
• Lift/carry 50+ lbs (help required for heavier loads)
• Push/pull up to 120+ lbs
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, reaching, and crawling
• Drive using both hands and feet
