Summary

The Warehouse Manager at Metal Zinc is responsible for leading, training and supporting all whare house associates and team leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on experience in distribution-style warehouse, and the ability to coach employees while maintaining accountability for company policies, procedures, and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Ensure warehouse operations run at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction as the primary goal.

2.    Supervise, organize, and train warehouse employees while setting and monitoring performance goals.

3.    Develop and improve warehouse systems, including product handling, storage, equipment uses, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.

4.    Lead the warehouse team to address daily challenges and achieve short – and long-term performance targets.

5.    Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment.

6.    Review workflows, staffing levels, space utilization, and equipment layouts to meet standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.

7.    Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing policies and meeting regulatory standards.

8.    Direct warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, shipping, and customer service.

9.    Schedule and oversee staff to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.

10. Inspect and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery as needed.

11. Meeting regularly with team leads evaluating productivity and implementing action plans for continuous improvement and loss prevention.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1.    Highschool diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred)

years of warehouse management experience overseeing hourly employees.

3.    Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, policies, and safety procedures.

4.    Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

5.    Strong communication skills, bother verbal and written, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.

6.    Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the company.
