Engineering for Services (EfS) team executes technical task delivery against contractual requirements in the areas of Safety Management, Sustainment and Services Support, FRACAS, DTA Reviews, Reliability Analysis, Maintainability Analysis, and MSG-3 Analysis. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) assisting with the execution of Engineering Investigations (EIs), including Red Top investigations, to determine root cause of product-involved events, review of data associated with system level faults, and authoring responses to customer queries. To achieve timely resolution of customer issues, the Lifecycle Engineer will lead and/or assist multidisciplinary teams as part of Engineering Investigations (EI) to determine root cause of product-involved events. These teams will include (but may not be limited to) component design, materials engineering, development testing and program personnel. The Lifecycle Engineer will proactively identify threats and take steps to eliminate them before they cause events in the fielded product.

What You Will Be Doing
- Engaging in an environment of cooperation and collaboration in the Engineering for Services deployed team.
- Innovating to apply new ideas / techniques to solve technical problems, improve reliability, minimize cost, and reduce maintenance burden
- Participating in technical conversations in product level safety boards, customer reviews with regulatory and airworthiness authorities as required
- Assisting the Service Engineering Technical Lead and Chief Service Engineer (as required) internally and with customers while promoting a positive, professional image of Lifecycle Engineering and Rolls-Royce

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Master's degree in Engineering, OR
- JD/PhD
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for this role
Preferred Requirements
- Understanding of the gas turbine engine assembly and on-wing maintenance practices
- Experience performing technical tasks in a new product introduction environment
