As a Security Professional - Armed PT in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol healthcare locations to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to situations as needed. Your role will also involve providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal policies and client expectations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
• Carry and maintain readiness with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site policies to help to deter disruptions within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
