CREATIVITY IS OUR SUPERPOWER.
It's our heritage and it's also our future. Because we don't just make toys. We create innovative products and experiences that inspire fans, entertain audiences and develop children through play. Mattel is at its best when every member of our team feels respected, included, and heard—when everyone can show up as themselves and do their best work every day. We value and share an infinite range of ideas and voices that evolve and broaden our perspectives with a reach that extends into all our brands, partners, and suppliers.

The Opportunity:
You know and love working with analytic tools, speak SQL, and can use your technical skills and creative approaches to solve unique problems and answer important questions. Not satisfied with simply scraping the surface, you are constantly learning, thinking critically, and always seeking a deeper understanding.

Mattel is looking for someone who is always curious and has a passion for data, building tools, mentoring, and providing insights. We are consumer-obsessed and want to give our consumers something to write home about by using data to understand and improve their experience across Mattel's direct-to-consumer brands, Mattel Creations and American Girl. The Manager – Consumer Data and Advanced Analytics sits at the intersection of business and technology as a key member of the Direct-to-Consumer Consumer Data and Analytics team and you will be influential in unlocking the value of consumer data and establishing the tools, methods, and processes for the future. You'll be hands-on leader, working closely with other teams within the DTC organization and across the broader company to drive strategy and action through high-quality and timely analysis and tools. If you want to know more…

What Your Impact Will Be

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across Mattel as a trusted source for consumer analytics and insights
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate and refine their questions into comprehensive analytical plans from defining scope to delivery
  • Develop and select measures that accurately capture business questions and concepts

  • Query and manipulate complex data and leverage predictive analytics and other advanced techniques to determine the impact of initiatives, find opportunities, and optimize outcomes
  • Own data end to end – work with data engineers to acquire necessary data and use it to develop predictive models to estimate quantities of interest such as consumers' lifetime values, probabilities of purchasing, and probabilities of returning
  • Contribute to Mattel's consumer data strategy by assisting in the implementation of new tools, educating and training stakeholders, and providing input and feedback to shape the vision and roadmap
  • Be an advocate for the overall consumer data strategy and for your team
